A Tale of Chang'an's Splendor

Reborn into a second life, Yuan Yinghua has fallen from being a princess of the previous dynasty to a commandery princess of the present one. She decides to stay away from noble marquess clans, lest she get caught up in the treacherous currents of court politics. She thought marrying a poor scholar would let her live freely and watch events unfold from the sidelines. Little did she know he was the one pulling all the strings, and everything she had was still as insubstantial as flowers reflected in a mirror and the moon in water. A mother whose intentions are unclear, a husband who plays the fool while hiding his true nature, an uncle with the acting skills of a werewolf, a hypocritical grandfather... What do you do when you realize you want to live well, but everyone around you wants to make sure you don't enjoy yourself?
