[Main story complete]
Ji Xi was the little princess of the Ji family. They'd always feared she'd break if they held her too tightly, or melt if they kept her in their mouths.
She grew up adored by everyone, and turned twenty.
Then disaster struck the Ji family. They went bankrupt, owing two billion.
Some of her family fell ill, others went to prison, and all that was left was Ji Xi, who'd grown up in a hothouse.
Delicate, soft, naive, and alluring.
*
Ji Xi had seen Ruan Haofeng only once, when they went to register their marriage. Reporters crowded outside the door, camera flashes flickering through the heavy curtains as the commotion gradually faded.
He sat on the low, shabby sofa in her home, cool and languid. When he turned his head to look at her, he casually stubbed out the cigarette in his hand.
*
Ruan Haofeng had seen Ji Xi twice.
The first time was five years ago. He was in the audience, and she was onstage. She wore a red dress, swaying her waist as she performed an inexperienced dance.
The second time, his film crew and hers were shooting at the same location. In a sapphire-blue costume and cape, she bent down and slipped past him, her eyes as bright as stars.
*
News broke that Ji Xi had married the youngest Best Actor in history.
Rumors spread online that "Ji Xi climbed to the top by relying on a man" and that her "dowry was two billion."
When faced with the accusations,
Ruan Haofeng replied indifferently, "I married into her family."
#Bonus Scene:
Rumor had it that Ruan Haofeng was warm on the outside and cold within, aloof and unpredictable. Even when he appeared with his new wife, he wouldn't hold her hand.
Only Ruan Haofeng knew why he kept reaching for those soft fingertips: they reminded him of that night when he'd fallen into a sweet surrender.
His voice hoarse, he listened as she softly called him "Sir."
Even the coldest heart could catch fire.

[Rebellious, aloof top student x sweet little angel who goes from last place to first and gets better every day]
[Unrequited love becomes mutual]
On Wen Mian's fourteenth birthday, which fell on Christmas, light snow drifted outside the school building while inside it was lively, filled with laughter and cheerful voices.
Someone came out of the next classroom to watch the snow. The boy had a calm expression and was as quiet as the wind.
"Mianmian, Huo Shiting is so hard to pursue. How about liking someone else?"
"No," she murmured.

The following Christmas.
Huo Shiting, the most rebellious top student in the grade, was rumored to be involved with a girl from another school.
A girl from the next class cornered him by the stairs.
He held a cigarette, its ember flickering and casting light on his dark eyes.
Clutching her skirt, the girl gathered her courage and said, "C-could you like someone else instead?"
Her breath was sweet and soft, making his heart race.
He said, "Okay."

Wake for you, fall asleep for you, become a dazzling star for you.
And then, reach up and pluck down that moon.
The moon beneath the sea is the moon in the sky,
And the person before me is the one in my heart.

I read it again. It was a mess and it didn't match up with the introduction at all. But I still felt comfortable reading it. I really like the writing style.
Looking at the label, I feel like it was originally supposed to be a long novel, but the outline was cut? Will the published version be more complete?
So sweet, so sweet, I like it so much
