Even the Demon Lord Can't Figure It Out

Su Jinxi, a disciple of the Hehuan Sect, was born with a bewitching allure and beauty capable of toppling kingdoms. Countless cultivators fell at her feet.

Unfortunately, she drifted through a thousand flowers without a single leaf clinging to her.

After being captured by the great demon lord, she was ready to throw caution to the wind and play a little "black eats black" with him, but...

The great demon lord wouldn't even let her touch him?

She was tender and attentive, serving him tea and water.

The great demon lord didn't care. "I vaguely remember having a wife."

She scoffed. "But isn't she dead?"

She slipped off her clothes, intending to seduce him.

The great demon lord sat upright. "I must remain faithful to my late wife."

She sneered. "But you saw my body, so you have to take responsibility for me."

The great demon lord thought she had a point, and began to take "responsibility."

She pulled out every trick in her repertoire, coaxing and teasing him at every turn.

She watched him go from impossible to sway to blushing for her, getting jealous for her, and losing his temper for her for the first time...

At last, she decided the time was right and planned to consummate their marriage that night.

But the great demon lord had another episode. At the final hurdle, he pushed her away. "I... I must remain chaste for my late wife!"

Su Jinxi decided the great demon lord was out of his mind and that she needed to cut her losses.

She made off in the night, carrying all the treasures she'd stolen from his vault.

Instead, she got a classic chase: she ran, he pursued, and she couldn't escape!

With nowhere left to run, she used her ultimate fake-death technique.

But the great demon lord clutched her "corpse" and spat out a mouthful of blood. "Baby, I was wrong. I was so foolish that I forgot you were my wife. I waited so long for you to be reborn. How could you abandon me again?"

Su Jinxi, who was pretending to be dead: "... So I'm your dead first love?"
