The subscription fees have been refunded through the original payment method. To keep anyone from stumbling into a mess, the entire novel has been locked. (The original draft got so jumbled that when I relaunch it, I'll start a new version. If you want to follow it in advance, click through from my column.)
First, I'm sorry. I'm currently planning to make this novel free. I know a lot of readers have been waiting for a long time. I've come to recognize most of the people who've been waiting for updates, and I'm truly, truly sorry. If you've subscribed, you can message me on Weibo with a screenshot. If you've commented, just send me your reader ID. I remember most of you. I'll send everyone a gift on the day I relaunch it (I'm serious). [Please wait three months. The deadline for contacting me on Weibo is November 19, 2020, which happens to be my birthday, haha. I'll save the addresses of everyone who gets in touch, and I won't forget.]
I don't want to abandon this novel. I've been planning it since 2019. The scope is too vast and the plot is complicated, so I've always struggled to write it. This is my first long novel, and I'm inexperienced. On top of that, I'm an extreme perfectionist, so whenever I'm unhappy with something, I want to revise it, and make major revisions at that. I must have 200,000 words of discarded drafts by now. I've practically thrown out and rewritten the whole thing once or twice. Writing this novel made me anxious. I originally planned to write a new Kui An story to relax, revise this one gradually, and then continue. But Jinjiang's prohibition notice came rather suddenly, so the version I thought I'd fixed now needs more changes for a new reason.
Here are the reasons I'm making it free:
1. First of all, making it free doesn't mean I'm abandoning it. If I can't guarantee regular updates for a long time, making it free is the better choice. Otherwise, dragging things out with one update every three months will only make everyone more frustrated. (The System will automatically refund the Jinjiang Coins everyone spent on subscriptions.)
2. [Characterization issues.] Jinjiang introduced a mandatory notice saying that suicide cannot be promoted... (Even though the story didn't promote it, the System flagged it that way, and I don't know where the line is either.) I'm afraid that if I keep writing, you might really never get to read this novel. I may have to make some changes or cuts to the protagonists' characterizations, but there's no way I can give up the central romance. I've thought about it for a long time, and still haven't worked out how to revise it. I need to think more. qaq
3. [The protagonists' collection.] The main works I'm planning next will all come from this book, which is the first in a series. The first story is about Kui An (the vampire infinite-world story is now underway). The second is about Yan Bian and Kui Yin (a supernatural ghost-hunting story). The third is about Yun Can and Jing Yao (a school story, now open for advance follows). The fourth is about Wei Xian (an entertainment-industry crime investigation story that isn't out yet). There are also several side couples who haven't appeared yet. Everyone's personality needs to be clearly written. After weighing things up, I can probably write it, but I still can't meet my own expectations for this novel. If I really finished it now, I might regret it.
But I promise I absolutely will not abandon it. I've put far too much effort into it. The only way I'd give up is if I stopped writing novels altogether.
4. When I revised the novel before, I didn't know what I was doing and made random changes, leaving the draft a mess. The new rewrite and the old version got mixed together, confusing both the readers and me. I've thought about making it free for a long time. To keep people from getting caught in the mess, I'll lock this version and start a separate one later. I'm sorry for the confusion.
My current plan is to write a few novels to practice first, then rewrite this story once I'm capable enough.
[The relaunch is tentatively planned for 2022, and no later than 2023.]
Here's the plan (unless something unexpected happens, I'll stick to it):
First: Kui An's story (the infinite-world story is in progress).
Second: Yun Can and Jing Yao (a school story with a system). If I don't feel ready to write this school story after finishing Kui An's, I'll write a short, sweet romance to get a feel for writing romance.
(Plans for 2020 to early 2021.)
As expected, my studies will keep me quite busy from 2021 to early 2022.
I'll start a new story as soon as I get back. (2022-2023)
Third: Wei Xian, from the fifth story in Escape the Heavens, with Li Jinyuan as a supporting character (an entertainment-industry crime investigation story), or the relaunch of Escape the Heavens.
It'll be a while, but when the time comes, I'll be fully prepared to tackle the most thrilling, explosive novel I've ever imagined, and every character in it.
This was the first long story I ever conceived. I may write more works, or even better ones, in the future, but no other novel will ever mean as much to me as this one.
I'm sorry we met through this book, and that from the beginning of the year to the middle of it, I still couldn't show you the ending of this story.
Readers of this story include middle schoolers, high schoolers, and university students.
I hope that one day, when you step into a new stage of life and happen to hear the title of this book, you'll remember that you were among its very first readers.
The protagonists are still the same protagonists, and their identities are still the same.
Every one of them will still be who they are.
[See you when Escape Genius Assemble relaunches someday. Love you all!]

Madam, it's almost 2025, Happy New Year!
I cried and kept checking and found that he suddenly disappeared. I still found it after looking for the subscription records orz
I haven't logged in for a long time. I just finished browsing my favorites and felt that something was missing. I hurriedly searched in the browser, but couldn't find anything. I just looked through the subscription records in a hurry and found out about the name change and other things. Emmm, I like this article very much. I hope you can relax and take care of yourself. Waiting for you to come back.
When I came back and looked at it, a quarter of the fattening books were solved and restarted... I have one more book in my lifetime.
I had always planned to fatten it up and start slaughtering it, but I didn't expect... The sheep ran away after raising them hhhh. I will continue to add them to my favorites, maybe I will come across them when my wife starts digging. Congratulations on adding a new book in your lifetime!
I really like the setting of this article!!! Put it in your favorites and keep fattening it up, then open it to see if you find anything... I'm waiting for you to come back!!! The setting of this article really has a big worldview framework at first glance. I really like this kind of large-scale article. I feel so responsible because I don't have the ability to explain it!!!
My God, this year may not be going well for everyone. It's really frustrating.
Will you use this book for future updates? If I can, I'll put it in the pre-collection column orz
Ah, I originally bought a chapter and wanted to wait until it was finished.
I originally wanted to gain weight, but it didn't work out. I'm crying (?;;`), My dear, I'm waiting for you to restart.
