A short story I wrote for fun in my first year of college.
A fantasy fairy tale about a father and child.
The monsters are based on Norse mythology.
Note:
Dullahan: Also known as the Headless Horseman, this figure comes from Irish legends and is similar to the Grim Reaper. Dullahans can be male or female; in life, they were all respected knights who were beheaded by enemies on the battlefield. After death, their task is to find those who are about to die, announce their deaths, and kill them.
Will-o'-the-wisp sprites: They live in forests, control fire, and hoard wealth. They set out all kinds of ghost lights in the woods to keep treasure hunters away. They appear in many fairy tales and legends, as elves, sprites, and other supernatural beings.
