(Pili) An Old Dream in Drizzle

He was engulfed in flames, yet could not feel even a trace of heat. The white-clad figure he had pursued for most of his life was hurrying away, holding that detestable person in their arms, leaving him behind to be consumed by the fire in his heart.

So this is what death feels like? Why does it leave you feeling so empty?

A graceful silhouette flashed through his mind, smiling like a flower. That was the flower he could not bear to destroy. He had tended it with care, but in the end, it could not withstand the ravages of time. It fell into the mud and left him.

So this is how it ends.

The flower loved that flash of white. How could he allow that white to remain? It was a pity: after decades of entanglement, the white was still there, but he was about to be gone.
