[My Hero Academia] My Life as a Non-Hero

People are born unequal.

Health, family background, intelligence, social class: these are all decided at birth, and become gaps that can't be crossed for decades to come.

What if one more item were added to the list of things we'd spend our whole lives trying to catch up on?

[Quirks], the essential requirement for becoming a "hero" in this era, and the quickest way to earn wealth and fame.

In a world where even basic safety depends on the protection of "heroes," and where everyone reveres Quirks and technology is merely a supporting tool, how am I, an ordinary and powerless person, supposed to live a good life?

In a time when I've forgotten the past and can't look forward to the future, what is there left to hope for?

There is only one true heroism in the world: seeing life as it is and still loving it. - Romain Rolland

* A brainless Mary Sue □□ story. The male lead will be Shoto Todoroki or Katsuki Bakugo, undecided. (That's right, seeing those two should tell you this is definitely a □□ story!)

* Contains lots of OOC, love rivals, melodramatic tropes, time-space tropes, and messy love lives. Don't read if that's not your thing.

* The story broadly follows the plot and worldbuilding of the first three seasons of the My Hero Academia anime. The timeline and event order may change. The plot after that is the author's own flight of fancy and won't involve the original material. Canon buffs, please go easy on me.

* This is the author's first attempt at writing romance rather than a parody. My writing is limited, so please be gentle. Friendly discussion is welcome, but personal attacks are not.
