Three Lives, Three Worlds: High God, Say That Again

Su Yan sat by the window, gazing at the lone peach tree before her. For no apparent reason, her heart felt heavy, and she found herself murmuring, "Love is hard to forget, a dream that came and went. Love and hate linger on. How could I ever forget?" The heat of early summer passed through the flowers and seeped into everyone's hearts.

Across the Four Seas and Eight Wastelands, everyone was talking about the marriage of the Celestial Grandson Ye Hua and the High God Bai Qian. Their story, from first meeting to falling in love, was told in ever more fanciful detail. Everyone was looking forward to the big day, until, who could have guessed it? The High God called off the wedding!

According to an influential insider who wished to remain anonymous, High God Bai Qian had eloped with an unknown High God. Everyone was stunned. The gossip-loving crowd put their investigative skills to work and finally discovered who had stolen the bride. They were so shocked, they dropped their melon seeds.

"What did you say?! High God Bai Qian ran off with Emperor Su Hua? The goddesses are getting together, so what are the gods supposed to do!!! This gossip is wild! Come on, tell me how they met..."

And so, the story went. "Wow, that's wild, that's wild..."
