The Movie Emperor's Live Stream on Superstition

The award-winning actor Chu Mubai receives an invitation to a livestreaming program whose theme is "Traveling through our country's beautiful landscapes." Following the production team's instructions, he happily heads to the small mountain village where the show will be filmed. He thinks it'll be an ordinary livestream, but once he ventures deeper into the village, he realizes there's far more to it than that.

As he deals with one supernatural incident after another, Chu Bai gradually discovers that he has a deep connection to this village...

The comedic version:

In everyone's eyes, award-winning actor Chu Mubai is an upright, handsome, old-fashioned gentleman. That is, until he joins a variety show. Everyone watching the livestream discovers that their favorite actor is a hardcore superstitious believer. But as events unfold and everyone's worldview begins to crumble, they realize it isn't the actor who's superstitious. They're just too young to know better.

A host: Honey, help! This drowned ghost is chasing me!

A famous singer (clinging to Chu's leg): Xiaobai, save me! I think someone's put a curse on me!

A popular young actress: I was wrong, Mr. Award-Winner! I shouldn't have called you superstitious. Could you check the feng shui in my house? I think someone's changed it.

A rookie police officer from the special operations squad: Chu Mubai, I'm a cop, but supernatural investigations really aren't my department. Turn right and ask the Special Investigations Unit next door, okay?
