Don't Get Too Arrogant

Gu Xingye, the campus heartthrob at Jingyang No. 1 High School, has a cool, aloof air and a rebellious streak. He's received a steady stream of love letters over the years, yet always rejects any girl who tries to get close. The one exception is his childhood sweetheart, Ruan Su. He helps her carry books and study, and at the sports meet, he only accepts water from her... After a while, even Ruan Su thinks he's fallen for her. One day, after her confession is rejected yet again, the school beauty finally snaps and cries out hysterically, "How am I not as good as Ruan Su? Why have you only ever had eyes for her?" The boy's eyes turn cold. With one hand in his pocket, he says, "You're overthinking it. Ruan Su? You're overthinking it. I only see her as a little sister." Hiding behind a camphor tree, Ruan Su clamps a hand over her mouth to keep from sobbing aloud and secretly vows to part ways with Gu Xingye as soon as she finishes high school. When the college entrance exam results come out, Ruan Su does exceptionally well and gets into a prestigious university. On her first day of school, Ruan Su is dragging her suitcase along by herself when several handsome upperclassmen suddenly approach. Gu Xingye stands among them, like the most handsome iceberg of all. "Let me introduce her. She's my..." "Little sister!" As Gu Xingye stares in shock, the girl before him lifts her chin and smiles sweetly at everyone beside him. "I'm his little sister. Hello, seniors!" Gu Xingye's face darkens at once. For the first time, the iceberg freezes into a glacier. Much later, someone skips class one evening and happens to see the student council president, renowned for keeping his distance from women, holding a girl tight beneath the campus lovers' tree and kissing her passionately. His voice is husky as he murmurs, "Ruanruan, say it." Ruan Su's eyes redden. She shoves him hard, and the books in her arms smack him in the face. "Your kissing is terrible, and you still dare to act tough? Don't get too cocky." A sweet little charmer who plays innocent and steals hearts x an aloof campus heartthrob who refuses to admit how he feels, then falls hard P.S. Not your typical groveling-to-win-her-back story.
