(Cold, brooding tycoon * carefree canary):

Gu Pingsheng was the most outstanding of the younger generation in the Gu family: cautious and steady, he had never made a mistake.

That was until he encountered Shu Yingman while helping an elder deal with a canary.

She strode past arrogantly, treading on a carpet of bright red pomegranate blossoms. Her silk nightgown was embroidered with gaudy peonies, and her vivid red nails boldly brushed across his sleeve.

Gu Pingsheng glanced at her.

When Shu Yingman first entered the entertainment world, her friends told her: People like them may seem humble, but it only conceals the arrogance in their bones. They look down on everyone, really.

Shu Yingman didn't care. If he looked down on me, I looked down on him too.

Later, when her backer fell from power, the man walked in on the day she was packing. It was autumn in Beiping. Ginkgo leaves covered the courtyard, crunching beneath his feet as he stepped on them.
