After the Breakup

On the night of our third anniversary,

Qi Jin didn't show up for our date.

Instead, he appeared on a mutual friend's social media feed,

with a pretty girl leaning on his shoulder.

I knew her.

She was Qi Jin's unattainable white moonlight.

She had returned to the country.

No wonder Qi Jin wasn't answering my calls or replying to my messages.

I sighed and took a few bites of food.

I asked the waiter to pack up two portions, then hurried off to work overtime.

Being an adult and a wage slave is exhausting enough.

Who has time to wallow in sorrow?

A breakup is no big deal.

Theme: Women should be self-reliant.
