Why Are You Picking on Me?

Everyone says Zhou Yuan is blessed. She's the youngest legitimate daughter of the Zhou family, doted on by both her parents, and she even married Gu Weiliang. Word has it that Gu Weiliang, the current prime minister, was born into poverty and once studied under Grand Tutor Zhou. Seven years ago, he went to the Zhou family to ask for the hand of their illegitimate daughter, Zhou Jiangjiang, but was rejected. Most people only half believe this rumor. Only Zhou Yuan knows it's true, and that there's an even more outrageous story behind it. The day Gu Weiliang was rejected, he left in dejection. Little Zhou Yuan, who had been hiding beneath a screen and overheard most of what happened, felt sorry for him and secretly followed him out. She tugged at his robe. “Don't be sad. If Third Sister won't marry you, I will.” Gu Weiliang lowered his eyes to look at the little thing, who wasn't even half his height. She was short and chubby, like a radish. But this radish was very eager to help. She continued to comfort him: “I really mean it. Come to my house again when I'm grown up.” Seven years later, the radish had grown into a young lady with a graceful figure and striking looks. She tossed an embroidered ball from Guangxiu Tower to choose a husband. Just then, the prime minister's carriage passed by. Wearing an impassive expression, he walked straight toward the person who had caught the ball. The man swallowed nervously and held the ball out to him with trembling hands... Zhou Yuan ran down from the tower, frightened and angry. “Y-you can't bully people like that!” Later, amid a lavish wedding procession, wearing a phoenix coronet and embroidered robes, she became the one being bullied. Whenever it happened, she'd blush and chide him, “You can't bully people like that!” The prime minister would hold her chin and coax her: “Be good, Yuan'er. Stop biting.” A pampered young lady x a hypocrite Little Red Riding Hood x the Big Bad Wolf Theme:
