Just in Time to Fall for You

The gentle third young lady of a military household and a refined prince. I want to write a sweet, tender story. The master of the Jing household was granted a noble title for his military achievements, and his son inherited his mastery of martial arts. His daughters were all a little unconventional, except... the third young lady, Jing Wan. She was gentle as water, well-read and courteous, quite unlike the martial spirit that defined the rest of the Jing household. @ He gave the bamboo-ribbed umbrella to the girl he loved. She walked away beneath it, graceful and carefree, going to pursue what her heart desired. He stood alone beneath the eaves and sighed softly. As she disappeared into the drizzle, his figure seemed all the more lonely. "Young Master." She came forward with a smile and held the umbrella over his head. "This umbrella is a nuisance to me. I imagine you could use it, so please take it." She handed him the umbrella, then turned and took two or three steps to climb into her family's carriage. He lowered his eyes halfway and stood still, holding the elegant oil-paper umbrella as he watched the carriage trundle away in front of him. @ She stood beneath a pear tree in the temple, looking up slightly at the man before her as petals fluttered around them. "There won't be a wicked mother-in-law in my family, or any other troublesome women. There are books you'll like, and a chef who can cook all kinds of delicacies. Everyone in the household will do as you say, except me... No, you'll be in charge of the whole household. If you like pretty clothes and makeup, buy as much as you want. My estate isn't rich enough to rival a kingdom, but it's doing well enough. How about I clear out two more rooms for your things?" His lowered hand clenched into a fist. He was unusually serious. "Your Highness, are you... confessing your feelings to me?" @ Later, he was sent back to his fief, and she said goodbye to him outside the city. Her bright eyes were like water, and she looked on the verge of tears. "I keep feeling that once you leave, you'll never come back." The man who was always so gentle pulled her tightly into his arms. In a hoarse voice, he whispered something in her ear. A few days later, everyone in the capital was saying that Prince Heng had been sent back to his fief, and had even taken the third young lady of the Jing family with him. # A gentle romance, not a strong female lead story. # The male lead has someone he admires (or so he thinks) early on, but later realizes it isn't love. # Set in an imaginary world, so don't nitpick the details. # The logic is terrible, terrible, terrible. If that bothers you, please don't open this. Weibo: @Zhishaozs Coming soon: "Claim That Flower of Wealth and Splendor."
