The Puppy Is the First to Confess

Not long after her first love returned to the country, Lin Xia heard about it from a college classmate.

It stirred up a few feelings, but not many. After all, when they broke up, she had told him they would never cross paths again.

Besides, she now had a crush on someone else: a teammate she'd met in a competitive mobile game, the kind you play with regularly to climb the rankings.

He was incredibly skilled, and he had a lovely voice.

Although he reminded her quite a bit of her ex, their meeting had been so bizarre and circuitous that Lin Xia had never connected the two.

That is, until a school reunion, where her exceptionally striking ex-boyfriend, Feng Du, opened the game interface she knew better than anyone and introduced the game he'd been playing for over a year to the people around him.

At the same time, Lin Xia took out her phone and saw a new message in her game.

CRUSH: "I can't play ranked today. I have to meet someone who's very important to me."

Lin Xia: "Who?"

CRUSH: "My first love."

*It's a competitive mobile game set in a magic academy. You can probably enjoy the story even if you don't play games.

Theme: Fate is written in the stars.
