A Model Teacher for You

(My new novel, You Don’t Seriously Want to Pursue Me, Do You? [Showbiz], is now underway!) After graduating, Zhu Yanqi filled in for a junior and took attendance for him. The moment he stepped into the classroom, he was stunned: the professor teaching the major course was the senior he’d had a crush on in middle school. Zhu Yanqi: ...Damn, what a terrible twist of fate. Good thing I never tried to get his attention back then. I’ll pretend I don’t know him. I’m invisible. Tan Rong returned to the country for love. He’d only been teaching at the university for a few days when he discovered his first love sitting in the last row of the classroom. Not only was that guy chatting and laughing with the female student beside him, he also spent the whole class avoiding Tan Rong’s eyes. At the end of class, Professor Tan said, “The student in the back by the window, could you come over for a moment?” Zhu Yanqi: ??? Zhu Yanqi: !!!!!! Overbearing professor top × beautiful bottom who hates studying Important: Both are each other’s first love, one-on-one pairing, sweet and fluffy. Same-sex marriage is legal in this setting. Don’t expect logic; there are lots of original worldbuilding details. They’re lovey-dovey in the first half, with some face-slapping in the second. [Showbiz] Bottom’s POV, satisfying, sweet romance. The top is reborn. When Xia Xingran was eighteen, a suitor suddenly appeared in his life. The man was twelve years older than him, handsome, distinguished, and from a prominent family. They came from completely different worlds. Xia Xingran’s first thought was: This isn’t real. It’s too unreal. I wouldn’t even dare dream about something like this. But gradually, he realized the man had made so many plans for him and had quietly given so much without expecting anything in return. It didn’t seem like he wanted a relationship so much as he was preparing to spoil a wife. Xia Xingran: ...Does he seriously want to pursue me? * When Lu Chen fell in love with Xia Xingran, Xia was a famous, award-winning actor with an international reputation, refined and easygoing, adept at dealing with everyone, like a fine piece of jade from Lantian. After unexpectedly being reborn, the first thing Lu Chen had to do was Rush back to the country, right away, find Xia Xingran, and make him his as soon as possible. When he found Xia Xingran’s high school, Lu Chen expected to see a gentle, well-behaved boy. Instead, as soon as he got out of the car, he caught the love of his life climbing over the wall to skip class. Young Xia Xingran looked brazen as he sat astride the wall and raised an eyebrow at him. “Hey, old man, mind moving? You’re in the way.” Lu Chen: ... Well, he was certainly “well-behaved.” As it turned out, Xia Xingran wasn’t a piece of fine jade by nature. He was a thoroughly unruly, stubborn rock. It was just that, before he met Lu Chen, the trials and tribulations of life had already worn down all his rough edges. Lu Chen quietly watched the eighteen-year-old Xia Xingran, all sharp edges and confidence, and made a decision in his heart. He would protect and cherish him, shield him from fear and hardship, and let him be willful and mischievous in the palm of his hand for the rest of his life, free to do whatever he pleased. Theme: Go where you want, love whom you want, do work you enjoy, and live as freely as you can.
