An Endless Sea of Books: Sharing Good Reads (Historical)

I was drawn to online novels by a book recommendation post on Tianya in September 2007, and I've been hooked ever since. I read quickly and voraciously, and even tried writing a little myself, only to discover that knowing how is easier than doing. I'd like to write a few words here in tribute to the wonderful stories I once read without supporting their authors. A few books have been milestones in my history of reading online novels: Boundless Charm, the first online novel I read. It dazzled me and showed me that novels could be written this way. One of my favorites, it led me into the world of online fiction. Scarlet Heart, the first transmigration novel I read. It moved me to tears several times. One of my favorites. The Youngsters, the first online novel I bought. In fact, I hadn't read it online before; Dangdang recommended it. One of my favorites. To Our Decaying Youth, the first online novel I finished and then paid for. I reread it often, torturing myself as I go. One of my favorites. Sunrise, the first danmei novel I read. It moved me and broke my prejudice against danmei, leading me to read more. One of my favorites. Gold is never perfectly pure, and white jade has its flaws. The stories I recommend may not have original plots, elegant prose, or profound ideas, and they may have plenty of shortcomings. But each will have something that strikes a chord in me (yes, in my own heart). I recommend stories regardless of how popular or obscure they are. But although I love particularly popular works such as Scarlet Heart and Strange Tales of a Maid, I won't recommend them here. I hope we can share good books and good lives together. Reasonable feedback is welcome; unreasonable criticism is not. The list is in no particular order. I'll write down whatever comes to mind. These are all historical stories. For modern stories, see http://www.jjwxc.net/onebook.php?novelid=495158 I also recommend my modern novel, A Carefree Life of Love: http://www.jjwxc.net/onebook.php?novelid=385160. It follows the growth of a young woman. Come take a look!
