Guardian of the Fairy

You Xue is a guardian fairy. When she was three hundred years old, she received her first assignment in the human world: to protect a little boy for fifteen years. She vowed to do a good job.

The little boy had big, dewy eyes like a fawn. Huddled into a ball, his whole being seemed to say: weak, helpless, pitiful.

She quietly protected him as he was bullied time and again, even wasting her magic to help him through his troubles. She poured her heart and soul into it, and at last watched him grow up safe and sound. With the contract period over, she was ready to retire with a job well done.

Fang Yuan, now successful and famous, curled his lips into a smile and slowly closed in. "Want to leave? Let's see if I agree first."

You Xue: "..." Weak, helpless, pitiful.
