A Zombie With a Dream

After becoming a zombie, my dream was to be a carefree slacker who wanted nothing to do with the world.

After cultivating immortality, my dream was to survive tribulation and ascend to immortality.

After ascending (crossed out) transmigrating, my dream was to taste the spicy crayfish I love so much [DEAD].

[The serious blurb] The apocalypse arrived, and as a zombie with self-awareness, I was freaking out. Not only had I become a nonhuman, I had also become humanity's enemy.

I successfully followed the plot I'd read in a novel and grew into the Zombie Emperor. But the thing giving me a headache was that I felt I had to be a villain.

So I left my underlings and went to live in seclusion in the deep mountains. There, I successfully discovered another path: cultivating immortality.

Several hundred years later, I survived tribulation. And so I, the world's only zombie, happily ascended.

But can someone tell me why I didn't end up in the immortal realm?!

I stared at the ancient-world swordsman in front of me, lost in thought.

Aww, he smells so good. He smells like spicy crayfish!

For someone who hadn't had a sense of taste for years, a Zombie Emperor (crossed out), who'd spent years cultivating immortality and abstaining from food, do you have any idea how tempting you are, bro?

If I can't eat you, surely I can at least smell you, right?

And so I successfully became friends with the big shrimp.

Then one day, I couldn't hold back. By the time I realized what I was doing, I'd already started nibbling on him.

Then the big shrimp pulled me off his neck. His breathing was uneven, and the tips of his ears were bright red as he said, "This isn't the right place for this. How about we continue when we get back?"

Me: ...Big Shrimp, you're pretty good at this, huh www
