Too Enamored

Synopsis:

1.

Ji Ci returns to China with her orchestra for a tour. The members agree to go to a bar that evening to celebrate her homecoming.

At the next table sit three men. One of them is exceptionally handsome and charismatic, with especially charming peach-blossom eyes that can make you weak in the knees with a single glance.

Her companions decide that the prettiest among them should go over and strike up a conversation.

"No," Ji Ci says, casually glancing at the man. "He's nothing special."

With no other choice, the one who suggested it goes over herself.

She says something to the man, and he looks up. Ji Ci keeps a straight face and pretends nothing is happening.

"Is one enough?"

The man writes a phone number on the notepad in his hand.

Her companion is flattered. "You're so nice. One is enough."

Huo Xiao looks away, then graciously writes three more numbers on the remaining slips before handing them over. "There are four of you, so one for each."

Her companions return, delighted, and hand out the slips.

Ji Ci glances at the number and takes a sip of her drink.

Oh, he still has the same number.

It's still on her block list.

2.

When Ji Ci was eighteen, she fell for a man, completely captivated by his carefree, bold, and unruly nature.

On the night she confessed, Huo Xiao penned her in between the desk and himself. His eyes shone brightly as he leaned in and coaxed her gently in a husky voice: "What did you just say? Say it again."
