South's Sheng, North's Island

Some people seem to have it all on the surface, but behind closed doors, their lives are a complete mess. All it takes is a thorn to pierce that flimsy disguise.

Lou Beisheng is that thorn, digging deep into Bai Nanyu's flesh. But isn't Bai Nanyu a thorn too, one that has sunk deep into Lou Beisheng's heart?

It's my fifth year wandering through this world, and I've become so dazed and lost that I no longer know why I ever set out in the first place. A remote little town, a man who seems cold but is warm at heart, so gentle and lethal he is like a poisonous thorn, piercing straight into my heart and tearing apart my humble disguise. I'm like a moth, and he is a blazing flame. I want to chase after him, but I can't. The nightmares of my childhood... The words of the world around me... I can't take even a single step forward.

"What an absurd story."

"Yeah."

Even I can hardly believe how absurd it is.
