Ode to the Chinese Parasol Tree [Western Crossover]

Wutong: Stop watering me, I'm going to die, please.

Steve (young): Th-then I'll come back and water you tonight.

Wutong: I don't mean come back tonight... Seriously, don't. Just because you can plant me in a pot doesn't mean I'm not a tree. Can we work something out? Could you at least stop watering me three times a day? How about once every three days?

Steve (young) (aggrieved): But... you're still little.

Wutong: Young master, finishing your milk isn't going to kill you.

Bruce (young): I'm not drinking it!

Wutong: If you don't drink it, you can't go out today. What, want to cry for your mommy?

Bruce (young) (bristling): You...!!

I thought I had seen everything the world had to offer.

Yet I still grieve.

Did you hear the parrot?

Good, then you didn't.

Parrots always herald death.

1. The pairing is with Bruce. There's barely any romance.

2. The original work has all the good stuff. Any out-of-character writing is on me.
