Hyakkimaru's Dad Is the Best [Crossover]

After dying, a swordsman finds himself in an unfamiliar era and discovers he is no longer human. Lost and distraught, he comes across a pitiful baby.

Thus begins his life as a dad.

The swordsman teases the baby in his arms.

"I'm no good at coming up with names," he says, troubled.

A certain middle-aged man finishes making a wooden prosthetic and says, "Hyakkimaru?"

Hyakkimaru has been unable to connect with the outside world since birth.

He can only cling to that white flame,

which seems to dislike him, yet has never abandoned him.

But to him, that is everything.

As long as he can stay by his side, everything is all right.

Until the boy cries, "Don't leave me!"

The swordsman ruffles his hair and smiles. "I haven't gone anywhere."

That's good.

Reader's Guide:

1. Both have experienced being abandoned. This is a sweet story about supporting and healing each other.

2. They will be separated later on, but they won't truly part ways.

3. The swordsman isn't human anymore.
