You Are the Most Beautiful Sight in the World

Latest completed draft: Heart's Delight in Poetry (the story of translator Sima Yueshi)

Latest ongoing novel: The Most Lovely One in Mingxia is already quite long~ A sweet romance between a lawyer couple: the male lead says one thing but does another, while the female lead seems respectful on the surface but is secretly up to no good.

This story is entirely fictional and is not based on real people.

Blurb 1:

China and Xisibei have just established diplomatic relations and need to rent a property for an embassy. Tang Lin and Su Jiang are in charge. While looking for a place, they run into people from Yorkwu, who are also searching for an embassy.

China and Yorkwu seem to have good relations on the surface, but there are plenty of conflicts behind the scenes. In the past, Yorkwu deliberately rented a property before China could, even though a Chinese consulate had its eye on it. This time, Tang Lin has her eye on the property Yorkwu wants.

"We can get our revenge," Tang Lin said with a smile. "This time, I'll beat them to it."

Tang Lin came up with a way to rent the property first. Everyone was satisfied with it as an embassy, but Li Linfeng, the embassy's First Secretary, thought something was amiss. He told Song Yi, the newly arrived Counselor, how Tang Lin had rented the place. In other words, she had deceived the people from Yorkwu to get the property. Could this affect relations with Yorkwu?

Song Yi: "Looks like she has a little cleverness after all."

Li Linfeng's mouth fell open.

Song Yi smiled. "Don't worry. It's nothing serious."

Blurb 2:

The Director of the Translation Department said, "The International Department needs an accompanying interpreter. Raise your hand if you'd like to volunteer."

Everyone raised their hands except Tang Lin.

Song Yi glanced over the group, then looked at Tang Lin. "Then it'll be Tang Lin."

Tang Lin was startled. She hadn't even raised her hand, yet Song Yi had picked her? She did want to go with him, but he had once rejected her, and she had never gotten over it all these years. In private, she was always cold toward him whenever she saw him, and she still had a score to settle with him.

As they left, she asked Song Yi why he'd chosen her. She didn't want to go with him.

Song Yi: "Since I specifically chose you, you're going whether you want to or not."

As Tang Lin wondered why he'd picked her, Song Yi smiled and said, "Your professional skills are excellent. These negotiations are very important, and we need an interpreter like you."

Tang Lin froze, but quickly recovered her usual expression and raised an eyebrow at Song Yi.
