Synopsis of The Maiden in the Palace Hall
With a princess for a mother and the current emperor for an uncle, the Commandery Princess Changle, Lin Xinuann, has always lived a carefree, pampered life.
But after learning that the famous General Chu Chen intends to take her as his wife, Lin Xinuann begins to suffer nightmares every night.
Chu Chen is not yet twenty, but he has already won countless military honors. He is as handsome as a fine piece of jade, and the dream lover of many noble young ladies in the capital.
But the man in Lin Xinuann's dreams is as merciless as King Yama, cruel and cold-hearted, always tormenting her without mercy.
Lin Xinuann is unwilling to marry Chu Chen. To break the engagement, she even pretends that she already has someone she loves.
But who could have guessed that before the engagement could be called off, the emperor would suddenly die, Chu Chen would ascend the throne, and an imperial decree would summon Lin Xinuann into the palace?
From then on, Lin Xinuann begins living the life she dreamed of...
A scheming, proud, jealous possessive man VS a refined, absent-minded young lady
They are clearly in love, yet both insist on saying the opposite.
Synopsis of this story:
Because her father is strict and demanding, always wearing a stern expression, Yi Yan has always been drawn to gentle, refined gentlemen who make those around them feel as if a warm breeze were blowing. Unfortunately, an imperial decree forces her to marry into the Eastern Palace.
Yi Yan has long heard what kind of person the Crown Prince is. She dislikes someone as domineering and overbearing as him.
During an argument, Yi Yan lets slip something she should not have said. She assumes that Mu Ziqi will hate her from then on, but the domineering Crown Prince begins to act differently...
Crown Prince: "My wife likes gentle men. Do you think I look gentle when I smile like this?"
Everyone: "..."
P.S. Alternate-world setting, lighthearted tone, marriage before love, one-on-one romance, happy ending.
Theme: My wife likes gentle men. Do you think I look gentle when I smile like this?
It really ended unexpectedly
Why do I think the ending was so rushed? A lot of things were not explained clearly.
It's good-looking, very sweet, and there are no major twists and turns. I like the details of the two people's transition from unfamiliarity to love the most. But in the scenes between the emperor and the queen, it was a bit too perfect, and the pure perfection was a bit bland. But it's still good!
This prince's emotional intelligence is really worrying, hahahaha
