Chinese Director Takes the Stars by Storm

Genius director Yu Jing died of an illness. When he woke up, he had become the young master of the Yu family in the interstellar era. His father despised him as a useless person with no mental powers, his stepmother saw him as a thorn in her side, and his illegitimate half-brother clung to him to leech off him. In the end, they kicked him out of the house. Everyone waited to laugh at Yu Jing, betting he would come crawling back to the Yu family in less than three days. Instead, he went straight back to his old profession and started making movies. In Star Year 22, Blue Star was destroyed and disaster struck. After evolving, humanity moved to other star systems. Once they had risen to dominate the stars again, people began searching for traces of their home planet. When they heard that Yu Jing was making movies about Blue Star, everyone mocked him: “Another director cashing in on Blue Star.” “A parasite feeding off the home planet. Get out of show business!” Then the short video “Red Beans of Longing” went online and set the entire interstellar community ablaze. The audience cheered Yu Jing on until their voices were hoarse: “Give us more home-planet movies!” “Director, you're my god! Am I kneeling correctly?” But later, Yu Jing realized something was wrong He made a wuxia movie about a swordsman roaming the world, and countless people went off to become masked vigilantes, swearing to protect peace throughout the universe. The merfolk next door watched a movie about mountains and seas and spent every day weeping, determined to cry pearls for their beloved director. After the prehistoric-era movie premiered, in the middle of countless nights, a cold snake tail wound tightly around his waist, and a hoarse voice panted in Yu Jing's ear: “Can you feel it?” With the corners of his eyes red, Yu Jing struggled to gasp out “Get lost!” as he nearly suffocated. Getting pregnant from feelings isn't what that phrase means, you bastard! He was making perfectly serious movies. Why did these people always fixate on the strangest things? Driven mad by his audience, Yu Jing went off to make ghost stories and Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio. The audience stopped trying to imitate the films. They huddled together in the cinema, trembling, and tearfully complained to Yu Jing: “The home planet is so scary!” Just as Yu Jing became a renowned director throughout the stars, his parents at the Yu family could no longer sit still. They signed up for a hit variety show and showed up at his door with a camera crew. When the door opened, they were greeted by the dissatisfied-looking film emperor Pei Yi. And the son they had considered useless gazed back at them indifferently, as if a god were looking down on the mortal world. Theme: Promote traditional culture and seek out lost civilizations.
