[Mononoke] White Butterfly Samba

On a rainy day long ago, the Medicine Seller paid a visit to the wealthy Yakushiji family, a leading name in the pharmaceutical trade. At a glance, he spotted a delicate little girl, light as a white butterfly... ...beating up a sutra. A story that begins with a debate on the scriptures. Don't ask whether it's fate or calamity. *An Ayakashi: Japanese Classic Horror romantic fanfic. The male lead is the Medicine Seller, and the female lead is Yakushiji Ruri. *A medium-length story. Expect lifespan and reincarnation themes, and two cryptic people who can't speak plainly, trading riddles. *At the start, the Medicine Seller has not yet experienced "The Prequel: Bakeneko." His personality differs subtly from the one in the original series, so be aware. *Written for love, with an outline but no time. Updates are irregular. In theory, the ending is happy, so a deus ex machina is not out of the question. *Ayakashi: Japanese Classic Horror could keep going for another hundred years. I'll always love the Medicine Seller... *Comments are welcome. It's been fifteen years. Does anyone still remember this obscure man who doesn't even have a name? orz (This story wasn't originally meant to be published until the whole thing was finished. In other words, it could very well have been left on my D drive until the end of time. Thanks to my dear reader @KunuWantstoRead, who changed its destined fate of never seeing the light of day. lol) The title, "White Butterfly Samba," is the story's background music. Look it up if you're interested. Both Fuyumi Sakamoto's and Kayoko Moriyama's versions are great. Theme: Exploring the meaning of life
