I'll Divorce You Tomorrow

Upcoming story: "I'm Going to Cement Myself into the Duke's Estate" After her divorce, Du Xinyan has a dream. She's the disposable ex-wife in a popular tale, always picking fights and making herself as irritating as a fighting cock. Her husband despises her, her children are estranged from her, and her in-laws resent her. She's merely a foil for the heroine's happy life. Life isn't easy after she divorces and returns to her parents' home. Her brother and sister-in-law look down on her, her parents can't hold their heads up, and each prospective match is worse than the last. Du Xinyan regrets the divorce with all her heart. Wasn't it nice to live in comfort and wealth? Why did she have to ask for so much more? She gets it now. So... When Xie Rongyu proposes remarriage, she agrees on the spot. When her mother-in-law brings her cousin home, she welcomes her with a smile. "You can stay in this room, cousin. It's close to your cousin's room." When her husband meets his first love, she says sincerely, "Husband, why don't you take a concubine?" When her mother-in-law wants to manage the household purchases, Du Xinyan hands her the account book. "Mother, you're so experienced. I have a lot to learn from you." When her son says she's not as good as Aunt Lu, she immediately sends him to Lu Lianxue. "From now on, she's your mother." But before long, the whole family has had enough. Story blurb: The Duke of Zhenguo and his wife have been married for twenty years, treating each other with respect and courtesy. Then they discover that she's always kept a young man in her heart, while he's always cherished his first love. "Let's divorce!" "Fine! Let's do it!" One day, they wake from a dream and find themselves back twenty years earlier, with the wedding decorations still up in their room. The Duchess is close to tears. Why couldn't they have gone back even further? By her calculations, their eldest son is already in her belly... The Duke is just as frustrated. "Are we still getting divorced?" "Yes! Once this one's born, we're divorcing!" The Duchess dresses up beautifully, planning to attend a banquet at the home of her "young man." The Duke glances at her. "At your age, dressing up like a flower to seduce a young man? Aren't you embarrassed?" The Duke carefully prepares a beauty gift set for his "first love." The Duchess scoffs. "You're old enough to have one foot in the grave, and you're still mooning over some young girl. Have you no shame?" In short, this is a sweet story about a married couple constantly sniping at each other and acting completely out of character. They're never getting divorced... Set in a fictional world!!! Everything is at the service of the plot. Theme:
