1.

Ye Ning is insecure and sensitive. Throughout all three years of high school, she secretly has a crush on Lin Hansheng.

Lin Hansheng is the school's famous rich young master, noble and handsome, aloof and unruly. The two of them are worlds apart.

They should have had nothing to do with each other.

But she stumbles upon his secret and sees him at his most wretched, hurt time and time again.

The day Ye Ning goes to see Lin Chengzhou, a sudden downpour begins.

By chance, she runs into Lin Hansheng, drenched from head to toe.

Rain pours down.

Lin Hansheng turns his head from within the curtain of rain and glances over at her coldly, his eyes wet as he looks at her.

The instant he sheds a tear, the world falls silent.

2.

Lin Hansheng has always lived in the shadow of his older brother, Lin Chengzhou.

Until one day, he sees a name on a postcard his brother never got to send:

Ye Ning.

The year they reunite, Lin Hansheng is still the dazzling center of attention, but he has forgotten her.

A song called "Hansheng," with lyrics written by her, binds the two of them together once more.

She goes to great lengths to avoid him, but he insists on crossing the line.

After a wild night, Ye Ning and Lin Hansheng wake up in the same bed.

He grips her wrist and holds her in his arms. He wants to kiss her, but she turns away.

"You stopped liking me after just one night?" he asks, raising his eyes coldly.

3.

One rainy night, Lin Hansheng invites Ye Ning into his car.

"Miss Ye." His peach-blossom eyes are particularly alluring as he slowly leans closer. "Give me the things my brother couldn't do. I'll do them better."

Lin Hansheng loves to ruin everything just when victory is within reach. He likes the feeling of losing control.

Ye Ning is the only one he wants most to hold on to, yet she's the one he has no confidence in keeping.

"Your love is like the moon hanging high in the sky. Even with stars all around, it's still the most dazzling of them all. Born to shine, who could reach for it, and who would dare?"
