Wang Jiexi nodded, returned the greeting briefly, and moved aside to head downstairs.

If the explosion hadn't happened; if Wang Jiexi hadn't noticed Yu Wenzhou's slight frown as they passed each other; if he hadn't immediately felt the sudden surge of magical energy as the explosion went off, he would probably have remained a stranger to this junior he'd met only once, never even bothering to remember the name of someone he hadn't exchanged names with.

Unlike those absurd ideas about love, like "I don't need a reason to love you," he preferred to plan ahead and keep the whole situation under control. He had always been a hard-nosed realist. Wang Jiexi's mature, reserved tenderness, incomparable confidence, and unwavering strength were all reasons Yu Wenzhou loved him deeply and was fascinated by him.
