The King's Avatar fanfiction Ye Xiu x Huang Shaotian, online voice-acting AU "Troubling Rain" Huang Shaotian and "One Autumn Leaf" Ye Xiu both belong to an online voice-acting club called "Glory." The club shot to fame after producing The King's Avatar, a massive audio drama hailed as "the most brilliant and ambitious work in ten years." Along with it, countless voice actors from the production rose to become stars in the community. Afterward, observant fans noticed these stars delivering dazzling performances in various once-popular works, either in pairs or in small groups. They went from casual viewers to fans, then from fans to devoted followers, unable to get enough of their favorite stars. One Autumn Leaf x Troubling Rain, known in the drama as "Ye-Huang," was one such pairing. The two had so many scenes together in Glory that fans got their fill, and they were just as entertaining teasing each other on Weibo, leaving fans to wonder if the two stars had already gotten together in real life. The two had also used the names "Lord Grim" and "Flowing Wood" in the danmei community, voicing quite a few erotic scenes and becoming famous throughout the industry, though nobody had figured it out yet. In real life, the two of them were indeed just one step away from getting together. Unfortunately, Ye Xiu had never dated anyone and didn't know how to make a move, while Huang Shaotian's pride kept him from making the first move. So they stayed in that ambiguous state, dragging things out right under everyone's noses until now.
