Mediocre Beauty

[The Hidden-Rich Top Scholar or the Greedy, Lustful, Gorgeous Scumbag]

Chen Yong was born to a concubine. Her mother died young, her father doesn't care for her, and she's still unmarried at sixteen. The only thing she has going for her is her beauty.

She thought she could use her looks to find a lecherous wastrel and secure a life of luxury. Instead, her legal mother arranged for her to marry a poor scholar.

The poor scholar wants a bride with a generous dowry, but she has none. She wants a life of luxury... and the poor scholar has no money either...

From then on, the wife and concubine in the Meng household are both busy. The eldest mistress spends every day making money from her dowry businesses, while the concubine Jiao Xian spends every day looking for ways to rake in cash!

Two or three years pass, and neither the wife nor the concubine in Meng Ting's chambers has gotten pregnant. When the doctor says that both women are perfectly healthy, Old Madam Meng starts to wonder if something might be wrong with Meng Ting!

Meng Ting: I may be a gentleman, but that doesn't mean you can both pick on one honest man!
