I thought about it, and if I wrote two separate couples, readers wouldn't get to enjoy both male leads at once. The big battle later on wouldn't be nearly as exciting, either. So I came up with this setup: the grape flower belongs to Run Yu, while the grapes belong to Xu Feng. In my view, Run Yu's fall to darkness was inevitable, and he has his own selfish, obsessive side. Xu Feng, meanwhile, can be childish, blindly devoted to his family, and domineering because he's been overprotected. But that's what makes it interesting! Otherwise, what would there be to write about in a battle between brothers? The grape sisters have been one for thousands of years, so their bond runs deep. And both of them took the Pill of Oblivion, haha.
Jin Yu and Jin Mi would both die in the battle between gods and demons in the end, right? Jin Mi was fine, but what should Jin Yu do? He lost several parts of his true body, and was so angry at Run Yu that he gave birth prematurely, and his son almost lost his life like her. Then before Jin Yu died, would she tell Run Yu that she had given birth to dragon eggs due to premature birth? How would Runyu feel if she knew that she and Jin Yu already had a son, but it was because of him that Jin Yu had a fetal infection, leading to premature birth and even nearly death?
