This novel is also known as Sherlock Is Always OOC. The CP clearly makes a living with their brains, but is forced to earn their keep through acting: Sherlock x A heroine who becomes unemployed as soon as she gets a job, and achieves the “forced marriage” ending by giving people “cheat abilities.”
As always, a light tone, a mature cast, and a central plot that barely touches on classic detective fiction [because the author is not very smart, please forgive me].
A Sherlock Holmes living in the twenty-first century could never understand love.
So he was toyed with by the matchmaker called Fate and tossed into one classic novel after another, briefly taking the place of the protagonist. He wasn't allowed to leave until he'd completed a moving, heartfelt romance!
A rookie just starting her career has no right to choose.
So she was sacrificed by her bastard of a boss and sent on a role-playing journey where getting a job meant immediately losing it. Then she realized: Why is the male lead always you? Wait, give me back my “cheat ability” first!
Male lead: “Boring. Why do I have to fall in love with a goldfish to get back?”
Female lead: “Why does it have to be a twenty-first-century otter detective? Couldn't you get Jeremy instead?”
Planned classics: Jane Eyre + Pride and Prejudice + Twelfth Night + The Count of Monte Cristo + Wuthering Heights + North and South. The leads will return to Sherlock's era. The classic-novel arcs will weave in a little detective work (yes, it's so the male lead doesn't get bored and quit).
