After a person dies, they live on in other people's memories, fragmented like a shattered plate.
Regulus is someone who exists only in other people's words. He may be described at length only twice, yet his image leaps vividly off the page, full and three-dimensional, bringing with it a breathtaking story.
This is my own imagining of him: a proud, brave, lionhearted boy.
I think of Chen Danyan's "My Mother is an Elf". The elves in it are very light and can fly because they have no feelings, but when they have feelings, their souls become heavier and can only stay in the human world.
It's so beautiful... I like the author's description of Regulus so much QAQ
Proud and brave young man
Alas... The gray light, although inconspicuous, is still shining.
It's very well written, and the portrayal of Regulus fits the original work very well~
