After Marrying an Alpha on a Whim

Yan Fengqing wanted to find someone to share his life with. At his very first blind date, he met Fu Jiu.

Fu Jiu was tall, with broad shoulders, a slim waist, long legs, and a red beauty mark beneath one eye. On the day they met, this strikingly handsome man was wearing a cold white lab coat. He gave Yan Fengqing a restrained smile and held out a hand with long fingers.

Gazing at that red beauty mark, Yan Fengqing sat up straight. I like him.

They were a good match in every respect, and before long they were married.

But unlike his flamboyant looks, Fu Jiu was truly indifferent at heart, unruffled by everything and impossible to read.

After living together for a while, they gradually settled into each other's routines, and Fu Jiu began to care more and more about Yan Fengqing. Even their less-than-compatible nights were steadily improving. Everything was just as Yan Fengqing wanted, except for one thing: he'd wanted to find someone to share his life with, but Fu Jiu seemed... not human.

His identity documents were fake. His senses were abnormally sharp, and he was freakishly strong. Every three months, he would disappear for a few days. Also, although he was a veterinarian, even the most ferocious animals became docile in his presence. They seemed afraid of him.

The strange behavior kept piling up. Yan Fengqing nervously tried to reassure himself that it was all in his head, while quickly and efficiently asking a lawyer friend to draft divorce papers.

Then, during Fu Jiu's third "disappearance," Yan Fengqing woke in the middle of the night and was horrified to find Fu Jiu's nose pressed against the back of his neck, sniffing him deeply and repeatedly...

So is he the kind who eats people after all? Oh no!

"You're awake."

A sigh came suddenly from behind him, and Yan Fengqing went completely numb.

Fu Jiu doesn't eat people, and he isn't a monster. He says he's an Alpha, and that he disappears because of his rut. The animals are afraid of his pheromones... Yan Fengqing is fine with all of that.

After the rut ended, Yan Fengqing still threw the divorce papers in Fu Jiu's face.
