Walking Together Through Touken Ranbu

The Saniwa Aki's Honmaru has a setting like a bug.

No matter how hard she tries, she can't forge Mikazuki Munechika in her Honmaru, and Mikazuki Munechika never returns from a sortie, either.

Just as Aki was about to give up, she accepted the Time Government's invitation to join a unit that exterminates corrupted swords. After one mission, she returned with a Mikazuki Munechika.

Aki's Honmaru has an Ichigo Hitofuri. During all the days without Mikazuki Munechika, he kept dreaming of the past at Osaka Castle, but it was always as indistinct as flowers seen through a mist.

Lost in uncertainty, he brought a Mikazuki Munechika back for his Saniwa during an extermination mission.

This is a story about a normal Honmaru helping a Mikazuki from a dark Honmaru heal, as well as a story about Ichigo Hitofuri and Mikazuki falling in love.

There are warm, moving moments, and a little angst, too.
