The Spirit I Remember

[Notice] This story updates every other day.

"The Swordsmen of My Memories." It tops the Government Affairs Press bestseller list. Upon publication, it sparked unprecedented discussion among readers. It is study material for Saniwa, bedtime reading for Tsukumogami, a shot in the arm for the Honmaru employment rate, which has been declining day by day, and a reassuring pill for Saniwa and blades feeling lost in their careers. Written and compiled from the recollections of every sword in an unknown Honmaru, the book reflects social realities. Its lively, witty, and humorous prose makes it highly readable and socially meaningful. It is an invaluable firsthand source for studying Saniwa-and-blade culture, and has made a tremendous contribution to bringing that culture to the world.

The blurb is making things up, don't believe it. This story has loads of original settings. The Saniwa is a big guy of Chinese descent who also works as the Honmaru's housekeeper. The early chapters feature livestreams of everyday farming life in the Honmaru (a lot of everyday life). Later, the tone gets weird and the worlds become a mishmash. I'll show you worlds you could never imagine. I guarantee a happy ending.

As for the pairings, the Saniwa himself has no partner. The sword warriors can fall in love freely or pair off among themselves. The author ships all kinds of couples: Ichigo x Saniwa, Mikazuki x Tsurumaru, the Shinsengumi (either partner can take either role), Ishikiri x Jiro, the two monks (Yamabushi and Kousetsu), Shokudaikiri x Heshikiri, Shokudaikiri x Ookurikara, the Kotetsu group, Heshikiri x Mikazuki, Saniwa x Kasen, Saniwa x Sousamon, Kasen x Yamanbagiri, and Yamanbagiri x Kasen are the main ones I enjoy (why does it feel like none of these are more important than the others?). I don't ship short blades or sibling blades. I can't bring myself to ship the little short blades; it's enough to dote on them. I made the sibling blades actual siblings, and shipping them would make me feel guilty (but a voice in my heart keeps shouting that the older-sword brothers are so cute! No, I have to resist...). I may write all the pairings I ship, so fans of multiple pairings are in for a treat. The author promises not to abandon the story. Also, the Saniwa is a shameless flirt. That's all.

If you like it, please support and encourage me by pelting me with little gifts. If everyone adds just one favorite, even an unemployed author can look forward to a wonderful (and prosperous) tomorrow!
