Every time he speaks, his voice lands right on her heart.

And he treads hard, as if he won't stop until he crushes it. After her heart breaks, hearing his voice makes it heal in an instant. Then, relying on his lovely voice, he starts treading again, determined to leave her heart in pieces, so that only his voice can heal it.

His voice is so lovely that she can't even think of a good way to describe it. She just wants to record it on her phone, then listen to it over and over again, savoring every syllable.

At the start of the new term, Mu Ying is assigned to sit with Ji Shiyi. One is as understated as an autumn chrysanthemum, the other as dazzling as a peony. They keep out of each other's way.

Until one day, she accidentally leaves her schoolbag behind and runs back to the classroom to get it. There, she sees Ji Shiyi and a few friends passing her diary around and teasing each other. Right in front of Mu Ying, Ji Shiyi casually writes five words on the title page: [You're not good enough for him]

After that, Mu Ying seems to have had her meridians unblocked. She puts away her romantic fantasies, excels at her studies, and goes straight through a bachelor's and master's degree. After graduation, she lands a job at a design institute, only to get caught up in a plagiarism case. A lawyer's letter is sent directly to the institute, signed by Shen Xubai of Guanxu Law Firm.

The person accusing her of plagiarism is none other than Ji Shiyi.

During the private settlement talks, Ji Shiyi is radiant and haughty. Shen Xubai appears in a black suit, his gaze cool as he calmly says, "Ms. Mu."

Mu Ying flees on the spot.

In the end, she sends him three words: [Take me to court.]
