The Song My Ex Wrote for Me Became a Hit

My new novel, The Queen of Pop Used to Weigh Two Hundred Jin, is now underway. It's about a plus-size girl who enters a talent competition and becomes the Queen of Pop. Please show it lots of support. The blurb is below. Qin Qing has three defining traits: she can't get famous, her family isn't rich, and despite being a singer, she made it onto the list of the ten funniest entertainers. Lu Xing has three defining traits: he retired behind the scenes after just one day as a singer, he's handsome, and he loves watching Qin Qing clown around. These two stubborn people had only been broken up for a little while when, by a twist of fate, work brought them together again. After helping a big-name star, Qin Qing finally got approval for the singing show she was participating in. Her collaboration with Lu Xing became an overnight hit. The song they performed in the first episode was the one Lu Xing had written for her back when they started dating in college. From then on, the bickering pair were "forced" to promote themselves as a team. Ever since I left, I've flown over mountains and seas, but I still can't fly out of your heart. Qingming CP is invincible! The editor informed me that this novel will be available to subscribers starting June 4, 2019, from Chapter 19 onward. Thank you all for your support! Note: 1. This story is entirely fictional and based on no real people. The author's singing ability is only good enough for karaoke. Feel free to point out any plot holes, but please don't make personal attacks. 2. One-on-one romance, both leads are each other's first. Career-focused with romance on the side, sweet with a touch of crazy. The blurb for my new novel, The Queen of Pop Used to Weigh Two Hundred Jin: Lin Susu, a top-tier songwriter and singer, suffers a heart attack. When she wakes up again, she has become a girl with the same name, a wonderful voice, and a very hefty figure. She is at the auditions for the most popular livestreamed talent show of the moment. Her roommate signed her up as a prank, hoping to see her embarrass herself. The audience also mocks her for just being there to make up the numbers. Lin Susu, however, believes that as long as she has this voice and a healthy body, being fat is no problem! Her voice, remarkably similar to that of the original singer of a current hit song, leaves the entire audience stunned! For the first live show, the top contestant gets a hot hit song, while Lin Susu is given a Chinese-style song nobody else dares to touch. The top contestant's group delivers a disastrous performance, while Lin Susu performs a stunning opera-style passage and sets the internet ablaze once again! For the second live show, the top contestant snatches the song Lin Susu wanted most, forcing her to choose an ordinary, forgettable pop song. Everyone thinks she's about to be eliminated, but on the day of the competition, that throwaway song becomes an unforgettable showstopper! For the third live show, the top contestant schemes to steal Lin Susu's opportunities and hires online trolls to accuse her of having the shortest practice hours. But on the day of the show, everyone discovers that, apart from the top contestant's song, Lin Susu produced all the others. At first, everyone thinks the two-hundred-jin Lin Susu is just cannon fodder. Not only can she sing and write songs, she also makes a whole host of good friends, and eventually debuts at the top of the rankings! One group album and one solo album later, her songs sweep the awards. At an awards ceremony, after going onstage for the sixth or seventh time, Lin Susu says, "Thank you to the friends who signed me up for the talent show. Without you, I wouldn't be where I am today. So I wrote a song just for you, and it's being released today." The classmates who once bullied her click on the song. Hearing its lyrics opposing school bullying, they blush with shame and come forward one after another to apologize. The comments under her Weibo are full of fans from all kinds of fandoms asking her to write songs for their idols: "Susu, please take a look at our poor baby. They haven't released a new song in five years." Fans of other artists: "Get in line!" Fans of the idol who formed a limited-time group with Lin Susu for a music variety show: "Bro, take advantage of being so close to her! Make sure you cling to her for dear life!" Theme:
