The Spider and Butterfly Cross the Peach Cliff

A brightly colored spider walked across the slick rock on her strong legs. Every step she took revealed her distinctive grace. If she hadn't carried a deadly poison within her, countless larks would have gathered around her. Her feet were like saws, sinking deep into the rock. Though countless tigers and wolves had fallen to their deaths on this peak, she had roamed it safely for five hundred years. Now she was making her way down the cliff, step by step, and climbed onto a lush peach tree.
