The Eunuch's Scheme

In the Great Zhao Dynasty, there were two deadly flowers.

One was in the Western Depot. His name was Zhan Liangjing.

The other was in the Forbidden City. Her name was Wan Zhen'er.

One was the Western Depot's commander, feared by every official in the court. The other was the imperial consort of the Forbidden City, whose reputation as a temptress was known throughout the land.

One carried a grudge against the state. The other carried a family vendetta.

And yet each of them developed feelings for someone and drew a little closer.

In the end, who plotted against whom?

It was all just old tales of shifting fortunes, unfolding and folding like the wind.

Everyone said Zhan Liangjing was a eunuch whose crimes were too numerous to record. Though he was a piece of fine jade, he was just a chipped jade disk sunk in the mud.

But Tuo Huan insisted on holding him in her palm, hanging him in the heavens, and treating him as the only moon in all creation.

What did it matter if she threw the dynasty into chaos, bewitched the emperor, and shattered the realm?

She could see through the monstrous hearts of the world and let go of her deep-rooted hatred, but she could not let go of him.

The great storm settled. The mortal world was shut away.

Who drew whom into the mortal realm, staining them with wounds from the world of dust?

[1. Inspired by the Ming and Qing dynasties. This is a fictional setting, so there's no need for extensive historical research.

2. The female lead is NOT Wan Zhen'er!!!!]
