The Bus Driver and His Conductor

Li Jianguo and Zhang Aijia have been partners for years, a coach driver and a bus conductor. When they were young, they drove their bus, drinking the old tea from home, bumping along country roads. Late at night, they would hum a love song; in the morning, they would eat soy milk and fried dough sticks while admiring the green hills and clear waters beside the road. One day, Li Jianguo said, "Hey, Zhang Erlang, things have changed so much these past few years!" Zhang Aijia said, "Yeah. Even a few of our old pals have given up driving coaches to drive city buses. If you start driving a bus one day, you won't need an old guy like me anymore!" Li Jianguo: "What are you talking about! We agreed to be coach-driving partners for life. I'm the driver, you're the conductor, and the seat beside me will always be yours. You aren't allowed to take it back, and neither am I." Zhang Aijia: "..." (laughs) CP: Li Jianguo x Zhang Aijia P.S. This is a short story, and it is complete. The story is told from both characters' perspectives. The name of the bottom protagonist got censored, sigh. His surname is Li, and his given name is the Jian and Guo from "build a career and establish a nation." If you see blanks, you can fill in his name. I'm speechless, sob sob sob. Theme:
