A Scholar's Record of Ghost Encounters (Paranormal)

Of ten scholars, nine encounter demons and ghosts. The last one encounters a Daoist priest. That person is Zhang Jiexing. Born to a life of misfortune, he doesn't know where fate will lead him. Going with the current, he presses forward without hesitation. Going against it, there's no way back. I know how unpredictable life can be. I'm fortunate to have met you. Even if we rise to the clouds from here on, we can still walk hand in hand. Before he met the Daoist priest, the impoverished scholar Zhang Jiexing had spent ten years studying in a cold room. He choked after drinking too much water, got robbed on his way to an exam, forgot to bring food into the examination hall, and even encountered a ghost while spending the night on the road home. Zhang Jiexing: ...My life has been truly miserable when it comes to luck. (I can't go on living like this!) That very night, after encountering the ghost, he met a Daoist priest. The priest walked in, widened his eyes, and immediately called out where the ghost was. Then he shouted that he didn't have the tools to catch it! Zhang Jiexing: So he's a charlatan after all! (disdainful) Yang Yu: Young scholar, I see that your forehead is full and your features are refined. With a little good fortune, you'll surely hold high office one day! Zhang Jiexing: (Immediately protecting his luggage) You're definitely a fraud. You sure have a silver tongue, but even if your words came true, I wouldn't pay you a cent. Yang Yu: ... Everyone else: ... The ghost, feeling like it really had no presence at all: ... I used up half a lifetime's worth of luck to meet you. From then on, I rose to success, but never forgot the love of our earlier days.
