The Man Who Couldn't Speak

Dr. Qin is an oddball. He lives in an abandoned house in the quarantine zone, and every few days he brings home a few irradiated creatures he finds. Every day, he does experiments, drinks tea, and sunbathes. That comfortable life ended with a deafening boom. He looked up. Oh, damn. Half the house was gone. Burning with rage, Dr. Qin wiped out the underground militia without changing expression. Only then did he notice the little monster they had been hunting, barely clinging to life. On a whim, he took the little monster home. It couldn't speak, but it sure was clingy. It followed him everywhere, quietly reaching out to tug at his clothes, thinking he hadn't noticed. A couple of extra glances were enough to make its ears perk up and its tail wag nonstop. It clearly wanted to follow him into the bedroom but didn't dare. Yet when he got up in the middle of the night, he always found it crouched outside his door. The only problem was that its genes were a complete mess, and it would occasionally have an episode and go berserk. Dr. Qin: "Tch. You're hideous. What a hassle." He said that, but still stroked the little monster's head and gave it a reassuring kiss. Mad Scientist Top x Loyal Monster Bottom ※ The full story is already written. Once it's all finished, I'll launch it alongside my concurrently updating yuri novel. I estimate it will start at the end of June 2026. (Update, 2026.4.4: I haven't written enough yet. After thinking it over, I'd better update the yuri novel daily first. I can't promise when this one will start, sob.) ※ The story is set in a post-nuclear-war wasteland.
