Mandated by Heaven

The day after Gan Wen lost his job, he found a new one: assistant curator at the Bi Family’s Imitation Antique Exhibition Hall. The curator is a crackpot who carries an umbrella on a sunny day, the attendant is a drunk, the guide works part-time, and the night guard is part-time too... Just as Gan Wen begins to foresee a bleak career ahead, he suddenly realizes that something seems off... Special note: This story is set in a fictional modern world. The antiques in it are fictionalized versions of real antiques, and won’t be exactly the same as their real-world counterparts. Please don’t treat them as identical. P.S. I’m digging a pit to bury myself in because I’m in a bad mood. I hope this turns out to be a lighthearted comedy, but if it becomes an angst-ridden tragedy, I’ll kill you and leave you buried. This is an experimental project in episodic form. Since it’s my first time, I don’t know if it’ll work out; everything is up in the air. So, as I always say, this pit is only for die-hard fans, if I have any.
