The Classic of Mountains and Seas

I haven't decided yet whether this will be melodramatic angst or sweet romance, or whether it'll focus on the plot or the relationship. My time is limited, and updates will be irregular, so if that bothers you, please don't start reading for now. At the moment, this story is only for die-hard fans, if I have any @@ Here's the synopsis: A man may be innocent, but possessing a treasure makes him guilty. The kindly, fatherly master and the sworn-brother-like senior disciple who caused Mo Li's family to be destroyed are the ones pulling the strings. An accidental discovery leaves Mo Li in a desperate situation, and the Southern Splendor Celestial Venerable Mu Chunqiu happens to save him. Mo Li is clear about his debts and grudges, so he decides to repay his kindness first, then take revenge. "This Venerable has already climbed to the summit of the heavenly ladder. Ascending to heaven is as easy as lifting a foot. What treasure could you possibly have that would tempt me?" Well, the "treasure" Mo Li has isn't to his taste. That's a little bruising to the ego, but he still has to repay the kindness. Is there anything you want but can't have, Your Venerable? "In this life, this Venerable has had everything he could wish for..." So, um, my benefactor lacks for nothing. How am I supposed to repay him? "...Once, this Venerable came across a Babao Chicken and wanted to catch it for a meal. Unexpectedly, it ran so fast that I couldn't catch up, and it ended up getting caught by that bastard Tu. Even now, it still rankles." Wait, how can the esteemed Southern Splendor Celestial Venerable be a glutton? What happened to being aloof? This is all wrong!
