I Have Special Spellcasting Techniques

Casting spells is something I have a special knack for.

What are talisman papers, peachwood swords, and bagua mirrors? They’re all beside the point. In Shu Shanquan’s eyes, everything has a spirit, and anything in this world can serve as a medium for casting spells.

Plants, flowers, leaves, tables, and chairs: they’re all his trusty helpers.

Late at night, a vicious ghost flees down the street. Just as its shadow is about to disappear from sight, Shu Shanquan looks around and spots an empty can lying quietly near a street-side trash bin.

Without hesitation, Shu Shanquan kicks the can into the air. It hits the ghost squarely in the back of the head. The ghost falls with a thud, and before it can figure out what happened, it realizes in horror that it has been locked in a cramped, pitch-black space.

What is going on?! Groundhog scream.jpg

Shu Shanquan picks up the can containing the ghost and gives it a shake. All done!
