The Eunuch

In the resplendent yet endlessly lonely palace, I fell in love with someone. She was humble and weak, yet gentle and steadfast. Mountains stretched far, seas vast; snow weighed down the ancient peaks. On countless sleepless nights, I thought of her lovely face. When I lost everything I had, she alone stayed by my side. She gave me boundless warmth and moved me deeply, while all I could give her was a heart that skipped a beat. I am the cruel and ungrateful Director of the Directorate of Ceremonial Affairs, seated high in the grand hall. Her name is Ming Zhu, and she is the wound in my heart I cannot bear to lose. Happy ending, sweet romance. Theme: A love that saves.
