The Mountain God's Game

The mountains surrounding them are silent and still,

yet they are always playing games with fate.

With no warning, like a roll of the dice,

they arbitrarily choose the Mountain God and the Mountain Ghost.

And their ultimate purpose

is simply to cleanse this world.

Lin Mei got into an ordinary university,

and she kept its motto in mind: Ordinary is best.

Every day, she lived an ordinary college life

with her delicate, willow-like roommates,

took ordinary university classes,

sat ordinary exams at the end of the semester,

and looked forward to ordinary summer and winter vacations.

In the end, everything above, except the motto,

has nothing to do with this story.

The truth is...

Once it is six in the evening at school, the hour of the demons begins.

You cannot leave the dormitory area at will. Your life is your own responsibility.

So even as Lin Mei's worldview began to shatter,

she found herself growing a little excited.
